Cam Ranh Airport Lounges: Which One You Can Use and When It Is Open
You are flying out of Nha Trang, you are through security, and you have hours to fill. Cam Ranh International Airport (CXR) has three lounges in its international terminal: Sun Coast Lounge, SH Premium Lounge, and Lotus Lounge. All three are on level 2 in the departures area, and each one works with its own list of airlines.
Two things catch people out. Night flights are the first: Sun Coast closes at 2:30 a.m. and SH Premium at 3 a.m. Hours are the second, because the airport map and Priority Pass do not always match. If you are counting on a card, check its app on the day you fly.
In short:
- The international terminal has three lounges, all on level 2 in departures.
- The airport map shows Sun Coast from 6 a.m. to 2:30 a.m., SH Premium from 8 a.m. to 3 a.m., and Lotus by flight schedule, on October 30, 2026.
- Priority Pass lists Sun Coast and the Vietnam Airlines Lotus Lounge. American Express lists SH Premium for Platinum cardholders who enroll.
- SH Premium has a 3-hour limit, and kids under 5 enter free with an adult.
Moosetrip sells eSIMs, so keep that in mind as you read. We have not visited these lounges. Everything below comes from the airport, American Express, and Priority Pass pages listed at the end.
Lounges at Cam Ranh International Terminal
The table comes from the interactive map on the airport's site. Its lounge entries were last edited in March, April, and May 2026.
| Lounge | Where on the map | Hours on the map | Airlines on the map |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sun Coast Lounge | Level 2, zone 1 | 6 a.m. to 2:30 a.m. | Korean Air, China Southern, Air Astana, Uzbekistan Airways, Vietjet, Vietnam Airlines, and others |
| SH Premium Lounge | Level 2, zone 5, near gates 4 and 5 | 8 a.m. to 3 a.m. | Vietjet |
| Lotus Lounge | Level 2, zone 4 | By flight schedule | Vietnam Airlines |
Priority Pass shows different hours for two of them: Sun Coast from 8 a.m. to 2:30 a.m., and the Vietnam Airlines Lotus Lounge from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. A flight in the early morning is the risky case. Plan around the later opening time until the lounge desk tells you otherwise.
Level 1 has no lounges, so you cannot use one after you land. Gate location matters too. Sun Coast and Lotus sit at opposite ends of departures, about 240 m apart in a straight line by the map's coordinates. Find your gate first, so you do not cross the whole terminal with your carry-on.
What each lounge offers
The best lounge is the one your ticket or card gets you into. If you do have a choice, here is how they differ.
Sun Coast Lounge. It has the longest list of airlines on the map, and the airport lists free Wi-Fi, chargers for phones and laptops, and children's seats. Families with small kids should look here first.
SH Premium Lounge. It stays open the latest of the two lounges with fixed hours. The airport map lists a buffet, drinks, flight screens, TV, newspapers and magazines, sofas, personal care items, and a shoe polisher. American Express adds spirits, beer, and wine. Smoking is not allowed.
Lotus Lounge. The map gives it 210 square meters and names NASCO as the operator. It lists a reception desk, a buffet, a massage chair, restrooms, a smoking area, and Wi-Fi. The airport's services page calls it the Lotus Business Lounge and adds a runway view, a work area with computers, a shoe polisher, and showers with toiletries. If a shower before a long flight matters to you, this is the one to aim for.
| Feature | Lounge that lists it |
|---|---|
| Showers | Lotus |
| Massage chair | Lotus |
| Smoking area | Lotus |
| Spirits, beer, and wine | SH Premium |
| Children's seats | Sun Coast |
| Phone and laptop charging | Sun Coast |
| Buffet | SH Premium, Lotus |
| Free Wi-Fi | All three |
How to get in
- Ticket on the right airline. Each lounge has its own airline list on the map, and the airline decides which passengers qualify. Check your fare rules or the airline's site. Business class and elite status rules are set by the airline, not the airport.
- Priority Pass. The Cam Ranh page on Priority Pass lists Sun Coast Lounge and the Vietnam Airlines Lotus Lounge in Terminal 2, the international terminal. If your travel card includes Priority Pass, open the app before you fly and read the current conditions for each lounge.
- American Express Platinum. The US card's lounge directory lists SH Premium Lounge in Terminal 2 and marks it "Enrollment Required." Enroll before the trip. Entry depends on space, so a seat is not guaranteed, and the lounge only takes passengers leaving on international flights from Terminal 2.
- Paying at the desk. Ask two things before you hand over a card: the total price and how many hours it covers.
American Express warns that its hours and rules may not update in real time, and it sends readers to Priority Pass for current details. That is good advice for all three lounges.
Kids and time limits
At SH Premium, kids under 5 enter free with an adult, and a stay is limited to 3 hours. If your flight is delayed past that window, ask the desk before you plan on staying. At Sun Coast and Lotus, ask about both rules when you check in.
If the lounge is closed or you cannot get in
For a departure after 3 a.m., Lotus is the only lounge left, since it opens around flights. The map ties it to Vietnam Airlines, so confirm that your flight qualifies.
In the daytime and evening there is a simple backup. Vikkafe, in zone 1 on level 2, is open from 9 a.m. to midnight on the airport map. It serves a buffet of salads, soups, desserts, and five hot dishes that change daily, and it is open to all passengers.
Gao Spa, in zone 2 on the same level, offers massage for passengers waiting on a flight, and its hours follow the schedule. Check the gate screen before you settle in anywhere. A gate can change after check-in.
Domestic flights from Terminal 1
This guide covers the international terminal. Flying from Cam Ranh to Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City puts you in Terminal 1. American Express lists a separate SH Premium Lounge there, near gates 5 and 6, for domestic passengers only, also with a 3-hour limit. If you hold Priority Pass, check the Terminal 1 listings in the app.
Wi-Fi and your own data
The airport says free Wi-Fi covers all terminal areas, 24 hours a day, and all three lounges list it. It is still a backup. You have to reach the lounge first, and a network can show up on your list and refuse to connect.
Your own mobile data covers the things that cannot wait:
- Your boarding pass in the airline app.
- A gate change alert from the airline.
- A message to whoever is meeting you if the flight is late.
If your US plan already covers Vietnam at no extra cost, you do not need anything else. If it does not, a Moosetrip eSIM installs at home over Wi-Fi and starts counting days at your first connection in Vietnam. Your regular number stays on the phone as a second line, and you can add data to the same eSIM.
On October 30, 2026, our Vietnam plans include 1 GB for 7 days at $4.50, 3 GB for 30 days at $9.50, and 5 GB for 30 days at $14. Our networks there are Viettel, Vinaphone, and MobiFone. 1 GB gives you about 5 hours of maps and rides, or about 1.5 hours of video calls. The phone must support eSIM and be unlocked, and you can check your phone here.
