Alanya Taxi: Uber, Meter Fares, and Airport Transfers

You land at Gazipasa or Antalya, and Alanya is still a long road away. Do you open Uber, walk to the taxi stand, or find a bus? And what should the ride cost?

The simplest Alanya taxi is an Uber. The app is the same one you use at home, and it books a local licensed taxi around the clock. An average 13-minute trip costs about 540 lira ($10.80). On the meter, a taxi starts at 60 lira and adds 70 lira per km. That puts Gazipasa Airport to the Kizil Kule tower at about 3,000 lira ($60). From Antalya Airport, it comes to about 6,400 lira ($128) on the lower city rate.

The weak spot is data. Uber needs mobile data at the terminal exit, and the free Wi-Fi at Gazipasa needs a text code first. So land with data already working.

In short:

  • Uber runs 24/7 in Alanya and Gazipasa and sends local taxis. You pay in cash or by card in the app.
  • Meter rates in Alanya: 60 lira to start, 70 lira per km, 4 lira a minute waiting, 250 lira minimum, with no night rate.
  • From Gazipasa, the Havas bus to Alanya bus station is 350 lira ($7) and takes about an hour.
  • Dollar amounts use about 49.9 lira to $1, the rate on 2026-10-30.

Moosetrip sells eSIMs, so keep that in mind as you read. We have not ridden these routes as a test. Fares come from Antalya city decisions and operator pages listed at the end. Meter totals are our own math. They were current on 2026-10-18 unless a line says otherwise. New transit fares were on the Antalya council's October 12 agenda, so confirm the fare card in the cab or the quote in the app.

How to get a taxi in Alanya

Uber. Uber's Alanya page says you can request a ride at any hour. In the app you pick the Taxi option, and a local licensed driver comes in a car for up to 4 passengers. You see a price range before you book, and you can change the destination during the ride. Pay in cash or with a card on your Uber account. Tips work in the app or in cash.

Gazipasa, where the airport sits, has its own Uber page. An average 29-minute trip there costs about 1,947 lira ($39).

Taxi stands. Alanya has a set of official stands, and they are the places to look if you have no data. Five sit where tourists tend to go:

  • Iskele Taksi: near Kizil Kule and the port, around Iskele and Tophane streets.
  • Kultur Taksi: Saray district by Cleopatra Beach, on Ataturk Boulevard.
  • Cumhuriyet Taksi: the parking lot at Alanyum mall on Keykubat Boulevard.
  • Oba Birlik Taksi: Ahmet Tokus Boulevard and Fatih Street in Oba.
  • Can Taksi: Ataturk Boulevard and Ahmet Tokus Boulevard in Sekerhane.

Before you set off, look for the fare card inside the cab. The meter should start at 60 lira.

Alanya taxi fares on the meter

Alanya and Gazipasa are in the group of 14 resort districts under Antalya council decision 254. Since March 23, 2026, those taxis charge 60 lira to start, 70 lira per km, and 4 lira a minute waiting. The shortest trip costs 250 lira ($5). There is no night rate, so the meter works the same at 2 a.m. as at noon.

Distances below are road routes from OpenStreetMap, with drive times from OSRM and no traffic. Totals cover the start fee and distance only, so waiting adds more. They start at Kizil Kule, the Red Tower by the harbor.

Gazipasa Airport to Alanya

Gazipasa-Alanya Airport (GZP) is the closer airport. You have three ways into town.

Taxi. The airport says a drivers' cooperative runs the taxi service, and its phone number is +90 533 632 5988. Under a June 30, 2026 local transport board decision, 5 cabs wait at the arrivals exit and 2 more at the Gazipasa Airport mall on the D-400 side road. Ask for the total before you get in, or ask the driver to run the meter. The meter uses the same resort rate.

Mahmutlar18.9 miles27 min2,190 lira ($44)

Havas bus. Havas buses are timed to arriving flights. They take about an hour to Alanya bus station and cost 350 lira ($7). Stops include Kargicak, Mahmutlar, Kestel, Tosmur, and Alanyum mall. Departures back to the airport change by day, so check the Havas site the day before you fly.

GAL02 bus. This Antalya city line runs from Gazipasa to Alanya and stops at the airport. It then follows the D-400 through Mahmutlar, Kestel, Tosmur, and Oba to Keykubat Boulevard. The first bus leaves at 6:30 a.m. and the last at 7 p.m., every 20 minutes in the daytime. Gazipasa to Alanya costs 180 lira ($3.60), or 200 lira ($4) by bank card.

Antalya Airport to Alanya

Antalya Airport (AYT) is in the city's central zone, so taxis from there use the lower city rate of 40 lira to start and 50 lira per km. The two figures in each row are for Terminal 2 and Terminal 1. Uber shows a price before you book.

From Antalya Airport toDistanceDriveMeter fare
Avsallar64 miles78 to 83 min5,170 to 5,200 lira ($104)
Turkler67 to 68 miles82 to 88 min5,460 to 5,490 lira ($109 to $110)

Mahmutlar86 miles106 to 111 min6,950 to 6,980 lira ($139 to $140)

Going back costs more. An Alanya taxi runs on the higher resort rate, so Kizil Kule to Antalya Airport comes to about 9,030 to 9,060 lira ($181 to $182). From Avsallar it is about 7,310 to 7,340 lira ($147).

By bus, with one change. Havas from Antalya Airport only goes to central Antalya. To reach Alanya without a cab, take city bus 600 or 600G to Antalya bus station for 42 lira ($0.84), or 50 lira ($1) by bank card. Then take line AA01 to Alanya bus station for 410 lira ($8.20), or 450 lira ($9) by bank card. On weekdays, AA01 leaves Antalya every 30 minutes from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and once more at 8:15 p.m. In the other direction it leaves Alanya from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

AA01 follows the D-400 through Okurcalar, Incekum, Avsallar, Turkler, and Konakli. It has no stop at the airport terminals.

How to pay

Uber takes cash or a card on your account. Check whether your US card adds a foreign transaction fee. For cabs at a stand, carry lira in small bills.

Get data working before you fly

Without data at the terminal, you cannot call an Uber, open a map, or look up Havas times.

Gazipasa's free Wi-Fi network, Gazipasa-Alanya_Belediyesi, lasts 2 hours and sends a code by text. Foreign numbers work with the country code, so your US line has to receive that text. If it does not, you have no Wi-Fi.

If your US plan already includes Turkey, you may not need anything else. For a local SIM, see our Turkey internet guide.

Moosetrip's Turkey eSIM uses Vodafone and Turk Telekom. It is $3.50 for 1 GB over 7 days or $9.50 for 5 GB over 30 days, on 2026-10-30.

You install the eSIM at home over Wi-Fi with a QR code. Your days start with your first connection in Turkey, and your regular number stays on as a second line. If you run low, you can add data to the same eSIM. Your phone must support eSIM and be unlocked, so run the phone check first. Plans are on the Turkey page.

How much do you need? Our cautious rule is that 1 GB gives you about 5 hours of maps and taxi apps, or about 1.5 hours of video calls.
