Antalya Airport Taxi: Uber, the Rank, and What You Should Pay

An Antalya airport taxi costs about 1,478 lira ($30) on average if you book through Uber, and the ride averages 28 minutes. That is Uber's own figure for taxi trips from the airport over the last 6 months. You can also skip the app and walk to the taxi rank outside any terminal.

The weak spot is your phone. Uber needs mobile data right at the terminal exit. Free airport Wi-Fi lasts 1 hour, needs a PIN from a kiosk, and sometimes shows up in your list without connecting. If that happens, you go to the rank and pay what the board says, with no app price to compare.

Fares below are as of October 30, 2026. Dollar amounts use about 49.9 lira to $1, the rate that day.

In short:

  • Uber runs 24/7 in Antalya and sends regular licensed city taxis. Airport pickup may not be available at all hours.
  • Taxi ranks sit outside the arrivals exits of all terminals. Drivers wear airport badges, and a fare board stands near the rank.
  • The meter rate in central Antalya has been 40 lira to start and 50 lira per km since March 23, 2026. There is no night rate.
  • A proposal to update the meter rate was on the city council's October 12 agenda, so check the card in the cab.

Uber or the taxi rank

Both options put you in the same kind of car. Uber in Antalya books licensed local taxis, not private cars. Uber says it does not work with unlicensed taxis.

Uber gives you an upfront price, but no flat rate from the airport to downtown. The final amount can change if surcharges or tolls differ from the estimate. Uber also says a taxi usually fits 2 to 3 suitcases, and it does not guarantee the space. If you are 4 adults with big bags, plan on 2 cars or a minibus.

The rank is run by S.S. 115 Nolu Antalya Havalimanı Taksi Kooperatifi, which the airport's website links to. The cooperative calls itself the only licensed taxi cooperative at the airport. It has run since 1992, lists 246 cars, and offers a child seat on request. It promises fixed fares but does not print them on its site, so read the board before you get in.

You can book the cooperative ahead on its website. A driver then meets you at the terminal exit with a name sign. Its office is by the arrivals exit of Terminal 1.

Antalya taxi meter rates

The Antalya city council set the current rates in decision 254 on March 13, 2026, in force from March 23. There are two sets of prices.

Meter itemCentral districtsResort districts
Start40 lira ($0.80)60 lira ($1.20)
Per km50 lira ($1)70 lira ($1.40)
Waiting, per minute4 lira ($0.08)4 lira ($0.08)
Minimum short trip200 lira ($4)250 lira ($5)

Central districts are Muratpaşa, Kepez, Konyaaltı, Döşemealtı and Aksu. Resort districts include Kemer, Serik (Belek), Manavgat (Side) and Alanya. Both airport terminals sit in central districts, so a taxi starting there runs on the central rate.

The decision sets one rate day and night. It lists no extra charge for luggage or for leaving the airport. Each cab must display a fare card where you can see it.

Fares may rise. The city's transport department put a proposal to update the taxi meter rate on the council's October 12 agenda, as item 66. If the card in your cab shows higher numbers than the table, the estimates below will run low.

Estimated fares from Antalya Airport

We estimated these from road distances on OpenStreetMap, measured from Terminals 1 and 2, at the central meter rate. Ranges cover the two terminals. Times assume no traffic, so a jam adds 4 lira a minute.

These are guides, not quotes. The rank charges from its own board, and Uber shows its own price. Use the table to spot a number that is far off. Heading to golf or the theme park? Our Belek taxi guide has more stops and the fare back to the airport, which is higher.

For Alanya, check your ticket first. Gazipaşa Airport is about 42 km from Cleopatra Beach, so it can save a long ride.

How to take Uber from the airport

  1. Wait until you land to request the car.
  2. Enter the airport as your pickup and choose a taxi option.
  3. Follow the app to the meeting point. Signs in the terminal may point to the pickup zone.
  4. Match the driver's name, plate and car color to the app before you get in.
  5. Say no to anyone who offers a ride inside the terminal or in the ground transportation area. Uber warns against this.

Drivers can take longer to arrive for very early and very late flights. If you land in the small hours, know where the rank is before you start. Uber does offer Reserve at some airports, so check the app before you fly.

How to avoid overpaying

Before the car moves, check three things:

  • The meter is on, or you agreed on the board price.
  • The fare card in the cab matches what the meter is doing.
  • The route on your phone map makes sense.

If a street driver quotes a price and skips the meter, do the math. Ten km in a central district comes to 540 lira ($11): 40 to start, plus 500 for the distance. It is faster to open Uber and check the same address.

Short rides have a floor. Even 1 km costs at least 200 lira ($4) in the center. That is the rule, not a scam.

Uber takes a card in the app or cash. Add your card at home, and check whether it charges a foreign transaction fee. Tips go in the app or to the driver in cash. For taxis from the rank or the street, carry lira in small bills so you do not depend on change.

Skipping the taxi

The T1A tram runs from the airport through the center to the main bus station, and a ride costs 42 to 50 lira ($0.84 to $1). It is a good pick if you travel light and stay near a stop. Our Antalya public transport guide covers fares, hours and night buses.

Get your phone ready before you fly

Uber needs data at the curb, so it helps to have it working when you land.

A travel eSIM installs at home over Wi-Fi with a QR code. Days count from your first connection in Turkey. Our Turkey eSIM uses the Vodafone and Türk Telekom networks, and your US number stays on as a second line.

If your US plan already includes data in Turkey at a price you like, you may not need one. Our Verizon Travel Pass breakdown shows how to compare.

Our cautious rule is that 1 GB covers about 5 hours of maps and taxi apps. Turkey plans on 2026-10-30 start at 1 GB for 7 days at $3.50, and 3 GB for 30 days costs $7. See every plan on the Turkey page, and check that your phone supports eSIM and is unlocked. Install and sign in to Uber at home too. Then you only need to switch on data for the eSIM after landing.
