Antalya Airport to Side by Taxi: Fares, Uber, and the Old Town
A metered taxi from Antalya Airport to Side costs about 3,350 lira ($67) and takes about an hour. Uber also works here through Manavgat, the district Side belongs to, and it shows a price range before you book. Buses cost about 400 lira ($8), but you change twice.
Two things catch people out. Your taxi may not be able to reach your door in the old town, and the ride back to the airport costs more than the ride in. You also need data the moment you leave the terminal. Airport Wi-Fi gives you one hour with a PIN from a kiosk, and it can appear in your list and refuse to connect. The same goes for the trip home from Manavgat Falls, where you book the ride from your phone.
Taxi and dolmuş (shared minibus) fares below come from the Antalya city council's decision in force since March 23, 2026. Our calculations use road distances from OpenStreetMap. Dollar amounts use about 49.9 lira to $1, the rate on 2026-10-30.
In short:
- Uber takes requests 24/7 in Manavgat district, which covers Side, and sends a local licensed taxi.
- The Side meter is 60 lira ($1.20) to start and 70 lira ($1.40) per km, with a 250 lira ($5) minimum, day and night.
- Cars without a permit stop at Side's old bus station. A free shuttle runs from there to the old town.
- A taxi back to the airport comes to about 4,750 lira ($95), so check Uber before you take a car from a stand.
Taxi apps in Side
Uber. Uber has a taxi page for Manavgat, and Side falls within it. You can request a ride any time, and a local taxi with a licensed driver arrives. Each car carries up to 4 people. You see a price range first. Uber also covers rides to and from Antalya Airport. Its average trip in Manavgat lasts 29 minutes and costs 1,603 lira ($32).
Yandex Go. Skip this one here. Its Turkey page names six cities, including Antalya, but not Manavgat or Side.
Taxi stands. Side's Side Taksi and Deniz Taksi stands, with 143 and 46 cars, work together under a March 2026 city decision. There is also a stand at the old bus station. In Kumköy, Evrenseki, Çolaklı, and Titreyengöl, use the app or ask your hotel reception to call a car.
Every Manavgat taxi charges the resort-district rate, and a rate card should be on display in the cab. If the card shows a newer rate than ours, the card counts.
Taxi fares from Antalya Airport
The airport terminals sit in Antalya's central zone, so airport taxis use the central rate: 40 lira ($0.80) to start, 50 lira ($1) per km, and 4 lira ($0.08) a minute for waiting. The airport cooperative posts its prices on a board at the stand.
| Destination | Road distance | Time, no traffic | Meter estimate |
|---|---|---|---|
| Çolaklı village center | 55 km (34 mi) | 44 to 49 min | 2,770 to 2,800 lira ($56) |
| Evrenseki village center | 60 km (37 mi) | 50 to 55 min | 3,010 to 3,040 lira ($61) |
| Kumköy market | 60 km (37 mi) | 49 to 54 min | 3,020 to 3,050 lira ($61) |
| Side old bus station | 66 km (41 mi) | 55 to 60 min | 3,320 to 3,350 lira ($67) |
| Manavgat bus station | 67 km (41 mi) | 53 to 58 min | 3,350 to 3,380 lira ($68) |
| Titreyengöl | 72 km (44 mi) | 59 to 64 min | 3,600 to 3,630 lira ($73) |
Ranges reflect the two terminals. Hotels sit closer to the sea than these village centers, so your exact fare will differ a little.
Going back costs more. A taxi from Side runs on the Manavgat rate, so the same 67 km comes to about 4,730 to 4,760 lira ($95). Compare it with the Uber range before you decide.

| Antalya, Kaleiçi | 75.5 km | 66 min | 5,350 lira ($107) | 295 lira ($5.91) from Manavgat |
Waiting adds 4 lira a minute. A dolmuş inside Side costs 35 lira ($0.70) hotel to hotel, and 50 lira ($1) between Side and the hotel zone.

Getting into Side old town
Old Side sits on a small peninsula, and a city transport board decision from April 29, 2026 sets who can drive in:
- Private cars without a permit and buses drop and collect passengers at the old bus station, Eski Side Otogarı.
- From there, free city shuttles run to the peninsula. From April 1 to October 31 they go every 5 minutes from 8:00 a.m. to 12:20 a.m., and every 15 minutes overnight.
- From November 1 to March 31, they go every 10 minutes from 8:00 a.m. to midnight.
- A taxi without a permit may take you to the second checkpoint between 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. if you ask, traffic allows, and staff at the first checkpoint agree. It then turns around.
- Taxis from the old bus station stand drive onto the peninsula only to collect passengers, and they stop at the second checkpoint.
- Guests of hotels on the peninsula with a confirmed booking can drive in for 30 minutes to reach the hotel.
- Parking is allowed only in lots the city has set aside, never on roads or empty land.
Bikes, scooters, and motorcycles can't enter unless you hold a city permit. After 6:00 p.m., a taxi without a permit leaves you at the old bus station, and the shuttle is the easy way in.
Bus and dolmuş from the airport
You can reach Side by public transit for about 400 lira ($8) a person, with two changes:
- Ride from the terminal to Antalya's main bus station on bus 600 or 600G, or on the T1A tram. The fare is 42 lira ($0.84) with an Antalyakart or 50 lira ($1) with a contactless card. Our Antalya transit guide has the times.
- Take bus MAN47 to Manavgat from the Antalya Terminali İlçe İndirme Peronu stop. On weekdays it runs from 6:00 a.m. to 10:50 p.m., every 20 to 25 minutes in the daytime and every 30 in the evening. The fare is 295 lira ($5.91), or 325 lira ($6.51) by card.
- From Manavgat, take the dolmuş to Side for 60 lira ($1.20), or 65 lira ($1.30) by card.
Going back, MAN47 leaves Manavgat on weekdays from 6:00 a.m. to 9:40 p.m. The dolmuş lines around Manavgat have no numbers, only end points such as Manavgat to Side or Kumköy to Side. The district has no shared transit card system yet, so keep lira on you.
Paying and complaints
Uber in Manavgat takes cash or a card saved in the app. You can tip in the app or in cash. Check whether your US card adds a foreign transaction fee. On a dolmuş, paying by card costs a little more, so small bills help.
For a stand taxi, check the rate card and watch the meter start at 60 lira. The tariff has no night surcharge.
Greater Antalya takes taxi complaints through the Dilek/Şikayet form on its site, and its main phone is 0242 249 50 00. The transit help line is 0242 606 07 07. Write down the plate number, time, and route right after the ride.
Mobile data for your ride
Without data, you can't book Uber at the terminal or the falls, follow your route, or show the driver your hotel address.
Coverage looks solid on the nPerf map, as of mid-October 2026. Vodafone shows 4G and 4G+ at Side's old bus station, 5G in Kumköy and Titreyengöl, and 4G+ at Manavgat Falls and the Manavgat bus station.
If your US plan already includes data in Turkey at a price you like, you may not need more. Our Turkey eSIM guide and Antalya SIM card guide cover the local options.
A Turkey eSIM from Moosetrip runs on Vodafone and Türk Telekom. It is data only, with no phone number, and you install it at home over Wi-Fi with a QR code. The days start at your first connection in Turkey, and your usual number stays on as a second line, as we explain in how to keep your US number abroad. Prices on 2026-10-30:
| Plan | Price |
|---|---|
| 1 GB, 7 days | $3.50 |
| 3 GB, 30 days | $7 |
| 5 GB, 30 days | $9.50 |
As a generous estimate, 1 GB covers about 5 hours of maps and rides. Your phone must support eSIM and be unlocked, so check your phone before you buy.
