Antalya Public Transport: Antalyakart, Tram and Bus Guide

Antalya's trams and city buses share one payment system. You can tap a contactless bank card for 50 lira (about $1) or buy an Antalyakart for 100 lira ($2) and pay 42 lira ($0.84) a ride. From the airport, the T1A tram reaches the old town stop in about 31 minutes.

So you can skip the taxi line. The trouble starts when you need the app. Arrival times and route planning only load online, and airport Wi-Fi can show up in your list and still not connect.

Fares below were on Antalyakart's site on 2026-10-30. Dollar amounts use about 49.9 lira to $1, the rate that day. New fares were on the city council's agenda on October 12, so check the app before you go.

In short:

  • Tap a contactless bank card for 50 lira, or use an Antalyakart for 42 lira and get free transfers.
  • The card pays for itself by about the 13th ride, sooner if you transfer.
  • T1A runs from the airport through the center to the main bus station, 6:31 a.m. to 12:05 a.m.
  • At night, bus 600G leaves the airport at 1:05, 3:05 and 5:05 a.m.

How to pay

On a bus, tap the reader inside. For the tram, tap at the gate on the platform.

OptionCard costPer rideFree transfer
Antalyakart Tam100 lira ($2)42 lira ($0.84)Yes
Mobile NFC card, Android only19 lira once ($0.38)42 lira ($0.84)Yes
Contactless bank cardYour own50 lira ($1)No
Kullan At throwaway cardIncluded in price46 lira ($0.92)No

The Tam card needs no name or registration. More than one person can use it. On a bus, tap a second time to pay for a travel partner, though that tap earns no transfer.

The bank card costs 8 lira more per ride, so 100 lira for a Tam card pays off at about the 13th ride. Check whether your US card adds a foreign transaction fee too. Kullan At comes in two sizes, 112 lira ($2.24) for 2 rides and 250 lira ($5) for 5. It cannot be topped up. It helps most if you have no contactless card.

iPhone users cannot use the mobile card. Antalyakart says plainly that it is not available on iOS. Android users can buy it in the app, and it works at the reader even without internet as long as the phone is on. You must open the app once a day to keep offline use active.

Where to buy. Antalyakart machines sell and top up cards. The airport has four: three at the tram stop by the international terminal and one in the domestic terminal, opposite the bus stop. You will also find them at tram stops, the main bus station and Hadrian's Gate.

Topping up. Dealer kiosks take cash only. Online top-ups use the app or website with a bank card. The money reaches your card the first time you tap it on a bus or tram.

Transfers

  • One free transfer, from 5 to 60 minutes after you board.
  • Between tram lines, the window runs to 2 hours.
  • No transfer on the same line or its A variant, such as AF04 to AF04A.
  • No transfer on airport buses 400, 600, 600G and 800, or on MK80.

Children under 7 ride the tram free with their parents. Outside the center, fares depend on distance. It is 145 lira ($2.90) from Meydan to Belek and 170 lira ($3.40) from the bus station to Kemer.

Service thins out in the evening. T1A runs about every 30 minutes after 9:00 p.m., and T1B hourly after 8:00 p.m.

To change from T1 to T3, walk from Otogar stop to Batıgar stop, about 300 meters. You can bring bags on the tram if you can carry them by hand, up to 25 kg (55 lb).

The old nostalgic tram along Kaleiçi is out of service since summer 2026, and buses cover the route. Line 998 runs the same way every 30 minutes, 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., from 8:00 a.m. on Sundays.

Getting from Antalya Airport

The tram stop is at International Terminal 1. From Terminal 2 it is more than a kilometer away, so plan for a walk. T1A takes 22 minutes to Meydan, 31 to İsmetpaşa by the old town, and 50 to the main bus station.

Four city buses also leave from the terminals:

BusGoes toFrom the airportHow often

None of these gives a transfer, so you pay again if you change to the tram.

KL08 is the handy one. It runs every 10 to 15 minutes in the daytime across the city from Sarısu to Lara. From Üç Kapılar, KL08 and KC06 take about 40 minutes to Düden Park.

MK80 leaves from Demirciler Çarşısı, about 210 meters from the clock tower. It takes 23 minutes to Upper Düden and 50 to the stop at Kurşunlu Falls, every 12 to 25 minutes in the daytime. Since August 2026, you can pay Upper Düden entry with an Antalyakart at the gate.

Schedules and live arrival times

Lines, stops and departure times are on online.antalyakart.com.tr under "Hatlar ve Duraklar." The airport website points riders to the Antalyakart app or the help line at 0242 606 07 07.

The app is on Android and iPhone, in English and Turkish. It plans routes from door to door, shows nearby stops and kiosks, and tells you how many minutes and stops away the next bus is.

Sign-in uses an SMS code, and the login form on the Antalyakart site defaults to Turkey's +90 code. If that gets in your way, a plastic Tam card needs no account.

Without data, only mobile-card payment still works. Arrival times, directions, top-ups and notices about closed stops will not load. Service does stop at times. On the evening of October 14, 2026, bad weather halted all trams for about two hours, and the notice went up online.

Sort out data before you fly

If your US plan already includes data roaming in Turkey at a good price, you may not need anything else. Check before you go.

If not, a Turkey eSIM from Moosetrip runs on Vodafone and Türk Telekom. It is data only, with no phone number. Install it at home over Wi-Fi with a QR code. The days start at your first connection in Turkey, and your normal number stays on as a second line. See how to keep your US number abroad.

Prices on 2026-10-30:

PlanPrice
1 GB, 7 days$3.50
3 GB, 30 days$7
5 GB, 30 days$9.50

As a generous estimate, 1 GB covers about 5 hours of maps and rides. Your phone must support eSIM and be unlocked, so check your phone first. Install the Antalyakart app at home too, and open it once while you still have Wi-Fi.

Questions

How much is a bus in Antalya?

42 lira ($0.84) with an Antalyakart, 50 lira ($1) with a contactless bank card, and 46 lira ($0.92) with Kullan At on 2026-10-30.

Can I use a US credit card on Antalya buses and trams?

Antalyakart accepts contactless bank cards at 50 lira a ride and names no limit on foreign cards. You get no transfer or discount this way, so a Tam card is a useful backup.

Where do I buy an Antalyakart at the airport?

From the machines. Three are at the tram stop by the international terminal, and one is in the domestic terminal, opposite the bus stop.

How do I get from Antalya Airport to the old town?

Take T1A from the stop at International Terminal 1. İsmetpaşa, by Kaleiçi, is about 31 minutes away. The first tram leaves at 6:31 a.m. and the last at 12:05 a.m.

Does Antalyakart work on iPhone?

The plastic card works for anyone. The mobile card in the app is Android only, because Antalyakart does not offer it on iOS.

Is the nostalgic tram running?

No. It stopped in summer 2026, and line 998 covers the route every 30 minutes.
