Antalya SIM Card: Where to Buy One and When an eSIM Is Easier

If your flight reaches Antalya after 11 p.m., the airport phone stores are already closed, and city stores with posted hours shut by 10 p.m. You are left with an hour of airport Wi-Fi and a transfer to find.

So the answer depends on your arrival time. Land in the daytime and a Turkish SIM is easy to buy and cheap. Land at night, or want to skip the store, and an eSIM installed at home is the safer pick. All three carriers, Turkcell, Vodafone, and Türk Telekom, cover the city well on nPerf's map.

In short:

  • Vodafone and Türk Telekom stores at Antalya Airport open from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m., on 2026-10-30. Turkcell is not on the airport's store list.
  • City stores with posted hours close by 10 p.m. Stores for all three carriers sit near Kaleici and in the big malls.
  • Türk Telekom tourist plans start at 320 lira (about $6.40) for 10 GB over 7 days, on 2026-10-30.
  • On nPerf's map, the airport, Kaleici, and Konyaalti Beach all show 4G or better. Parts of Lara Beach and the top of the Tünektepe cable car are the weak spots.

The Turkish plans are hard to beat on data per dollar. Türk Telekom's plan costs less than our 5 GB eSIM and gives five times the data. The prices above are for the plans, and the carriers do not post the cost of the SIM itself, so ask for the full total before you pay. What an eSIM buys you is a working phone at the gate, with no store hours to think about.

Turkcell says its pack runs through December 31, 2026. If you lean toward TravelPass, confirm Turkey on Verizon's country list first. If your US plan includes enough high-speed data in Turkey, you may not need either.

Antalya Airport: stores and Wi-Fi

The airport lists a Vodafone store in International Terminal 1, International Terminal 2, and the Domestic Terminal, and a Türk Telekom store in the two international terminals. Both list 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Free Wi-Fi lasts 1 hour in all terminals. Get a PIN at a kiosk in the arrival or departure hall, and have your passport with you. Unlimited free internet is available only in the CIP Terminal and the lounges.

Landing in the daytime with no store nearby? Two malls sit about a mile from Terminal 1 in a straight line. Deepo has a Turkcell store and Mall of Antalya has a Vodafone store. Both listed 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day on 2026-10-10.

Where to buy a SIM card in Antalya

Tourist SIMs are sold at carrier stores. Bring your passport. Vodafone lists 202 locations in Antalya province, but only 23 are full stores, and most of the rest are service or payment points. These stores are in the tourist areas, from the carriers' sites on 2026-10-10:

Where the signal is good

This table comes from nPerf, a crowd-sourced map that keeps two years of user tests. The map was dated 2026-10-10. It shows the network type seen most often within about 165 yards of each place. It shows where phones connected, not a promise.

Lara is the patchy one. Turkcell drops to 3G in places on the eastern stretch, and Vodafone has two gaps of about 0.6 miles with no tests. At the top of the Tünektepe cable car, nPerf has no tests from any carrier within about a third of a mile. Send your photos from the bottom or plan to send them later.

Our Turkey plans list Vodafone and Türk Telekom, so read those two columns. Those columns describe the networks. Whether your phone sees 5G depends on your phone and your plan.

5G in Antalya

Turkey launched commercial 5G on April 1, 2026, on all three carriers. On a local SIM, you turn it on by text: send "5G" to 2200 on Turkcell, 7000 on Vodafone, or 5555 on Türk Telekom. Your phone has to support it.

Belek, Kemer, and Side

From the airport, Belek is about 20 miles, Kemer about 38, and Side about 42. nPerf shows tests all along those three roads for every carrier, all at 4G or better. Resorts show 4G, 4G+, and 5G, and the Side hotel area shows 5G on all three.

You can buy a SIM there too. Kemer has stores for all three carriers. In Belek, a Vodafone service point at Atıf Zengin Caddesi 5 lists new lines. For Side, go to nearby Manavgat, about 4 miles from the old town, where all three carriers have stores.

Free Wi-Fi in Antalya

Beyond the airport hour, the city says Atatürk Culture Park offers free wireless internet. For everything else, count on your hotel, cafes, and mobile data. Avoid passwords and card details on open networks.

How much data for Antalya

Our cautious rule is that 1 GB covers about 5 hours of maps and taxi apps, or about 1.5 hours of video calls.

Setting up an eSIM for Antalya

Check that your phone supports eSIM and that it is unlocked. Install the eSIM at home over Wi-Fi with its QR code. Days count from your first connection in Turkey, and your US number stays on as a second line.

Turn off data roaming on your US line before you land. Verizon says background app activity can start a $12 TravelPass session on its own. Our guide to keeping your US number abroad explains how to still get bank texts.
