Dalaman Airport to Marmaris: Taxi, Bus, Uber, and Getting Around Town

You land at Dalaman after a long trip, and Marmaris is still about 60 miles away. You want to know the fair price before anyone quotes you one, and your phone may have no data at that moment.

Here is the direct answer. The airport taxi cooperative lists 5,000 lira (about $100) to Marmaris. The Havas and MUTTAS buses charge 420 lira (about $8.40) to the Marmaris bus station. Uber covers Dalaman but does not list Marmaris as a city, so in town you will use a taxi stand or a dolmus, the local shared minibus.

Dollar amounts use 49.95 lira to $1, the reference rate on 2026-10-30. Each source and its check date is at the end. We have not ridden these routes ourselves.

In short:

  • The Dalaman taxi cooperative lists 5,000 lira to Marmaris, 5,200 to Icmeler, and 6,000 to Turunc.
  • Havas and MUTTAS both promise to meet domestic flights, so an Istanbul connection fits well.
  • Uber offers licensed taxis at Dalaman around the clock, but Marmaris is not on its list of 164 Turkish cities.
  • The Moosetrip Turkey eSIM starts at $3.50 for 1 GB over 7 days, on 2026-10-30. A 5 GB plan for 30 days is $9.50.

Dalaman Airport taxi prices

Dalaman Airport names the Dalaman Airport Taxi Cooperative as its taxi service. The cooperative publishes one price list in four currencies. Here are the main stops, as listed on 2026-10-30. Road distances come from the international terminal and were worked out with OSRM on OpenStreetMap data, without traffic.

DestinationRoad distanceDrive timeLiraLira in dollarsListed dollar price
Marmaris seafront59 miles1 h 24 min5,000$100$110
Icmeler64 miles1 h 35 min5,200$104$120
Turunc71 miles1 h 53 min6,000$120$135
Selimiye85 miles2 h 3 min7,000$140$155

Look at the last two columns. At the rate on 2026-10-30, the lira price to Marmaris comes out $10 lower than the dollar price on the same list. So if you have lira, pay in lira.

These prices move quickly. Archived copies of the price list show 3,600 lira to Marmaris in March 2026 and 5,000 lira by May 21, 2026. Check the live list the week you fly.

You can book by phone or WhatsApp. The cooperative says its guides meet you at the airport for free when you reserve. The airport lists +90 533 958 28 72 for taxi bookings.

Does Uber work in Dalaman and Marmaris?

Yes in Dalaman, less clearly in Marmaris. Uber's Dalaman page offers local licensed taxis 24/7, including trips to and from the airport. You see a minimum and maximum price before you book. You can pay by card through the app or in cash.

Marmaris is a different story. On 2026-10-18, Uber's list of 164 Turkish taxi cities included Dalaman, Fethiye, Bodrum, and Mugla, but not Marmaris. Uber's Mugla page also warns that pickups there can take longer than in bigger cities.

So use Uber as a price check at the airport. For short hops in Marmaris, open the app, and if no car shows up nearby, walk to a taxi stand. Set up the app and your card at home, while Wi-Fi is easy.

Havas and MUTTAS buses

Two buses run to the Marmaris bus station, known as the otogar. Both follow the same road through Ortaca, Koycegiz, and the Gokova junction.

Havas. The fare was 420 lira on 2026-10-18, with a 90 minute ride. Havas says the bus runs for all domestic flights, and it leaves from the airport parking area. For times, call 0850 222 0 487 or check the Havas site.

MUTTAS line 48-26. This is the Mugla city bus. The fare to the Marmaris bus station has been 420 lira since May 18, 2026. There are no reservations or advance tickets, and every vehicle takes credit cards. Runs from the airport follow landing times. The timetable changes day to day, so check the line page before you fly.

Both operators promise to meet domestic flights. Neither promises the same for international arrivals. If you connect in Istanbul, your last leg to Dalaman is usually domestic, so the bus should be there. If you land from abroad, plan on a taxi unless you have confirmed a bus by phone.

From the Marmaris bus station, a dolmus or a short taxi ride covers the rest.

Taxis in Marmaris

The Turkish word for a taxi stand is durak. OpenStreetMap showed 24 stands between Marmaris and Turunc on 2026-10-18, most of them in town or along the seafront to Icmeler. Two are at Netsel Marina, one is at the cruise port, and Turunc has its own. Your hotel front desk can give you the number of the closest one.

Mugla's city council sets taxi fares for the whole province. A local paper reported on May 20, 2026 that the flag fare rose to 150 lira ($3) and the short ride minimum to 250 lira ($5). That report was about Bodrum, which sits in the same province.

Road distances from the Ataturk monument on the seafront, without traffic:

Kumlubuk16.3 miles40 min
Selimiye27 miles42 min

Ask for the price before the car moves, and pay in lira. Bursa Hakimiyet reported on July 25, 2026 on a Turkish musician's post that claimed one 1.3 mile ride from the marina to the cruise port cost locals 300 lira and foreigners 10 euros. It is one story, but the lesson is cheap to follow.

Dolmus fares in Marmaris

A dolmus is a shared minibus with a fixed route. These lines start at the Marmaris bus station. Fares come from the May 2026 Mugla tariff, at the Mugla Kart rate, as checked on 2026-10-18.

You can get a Mugla Kart at one place in Marmaris, the bus station, and top it up at 10 points in town. MUTTAS says its vehicles also take credit cards, so your US card may be the simplest choice for one or two rides.

Data for the ride

The airport's free Wi-Fi runs for 30 minutes, and you get the password from a kiosk with your passport. Our Turkey internet guide notes that the airport's shop list shows no phone store. Without data at the terminal, you lose a few useful things:

  • The Uber price range before you pick a ride
  • Live bus times
  • A map to show the driver your hotel
  • A translation app for the driver

An eSIM covers these. Install it at home on Wi-Fi with a QR code, and your days start with your first connection in Turkey. Your US number stays on as a second line, and you can add more data to the same eSIM. Your phone must support eSIM and be unlocked, which you can check here.

Our Turkey eSIM uses Vodafone and Türk Telekom. nPerf's map on 2026-10-18 showed Vodafone at 4G+ or 5G at both Dalaman terminals, mostly 4G+ on the Marmaris seafront and in Icmeler, and mostly 4G in Turunc and Kumlubuk.

Plan on 1 GB for about 5 hours of maps and taxi apps, or about 1.5 hours of video calls. See all plans on the Turkey page. Prices were checked on 2026-10-30.

If your US plan already includes data in Turkey, you may not need an eSIM. Check your carrier app before you pay for anything. Our Turkey eSIM guide compares the local options.
